- Description
- A coal fired power station ash handling and pumping system removes dry fly ash from the power station boilers, electrostatic precipitators or fabric filter hoppers and conveys it to a high concentration slurry pumping plant. At the pumping plant the fly ash is mixed with water and hydraulically conveyed to a disposal site. The quality of the fly ash delivered to the pumping plant impacts on the plant's operation. This paper examines the implication of changes in the fly ash quality on the pumping plant operation.
